The Wine

50% Rousanne, 25% Marsanne & 25% Viognier from various vineyards in the AOC Cotes du Rhone & Ventoux. All Demeter-certified and accordingly biodynamically cultivated and vinified. A very captivating, fragrant & floral nose with plenty of white blossoms, ripe peach, some exotic fruit, and ripe citrus. With air in the glass, the aromas of ripe stone fruit and exotic fruit, especially pineapple, become increasingly prominent. Overall, a very clear, intense, and present expression. On the palate, this continuation, the intense fruit and fragrant character, are captured in a velvety, slightly creamy texture; the aging in wood gives the wine a beautiful framework without dominating it. The acidity is wonderfully integrated, the Petit Renard flatters and is extremely approachable, yet elegant and precise in its aromatics. A wonderfully smooth Rhone cuvée as you would wish for, a miniature version of a white Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

The Winery

Famille Coulon
Famille Coulon Famillie Coulon is the new project of the two Coulon sons, Victor and Antonin. Adopting their father's (Beaurenard) biodynamic approach and working methods, they focus less on the grand traditions of Châteauneuf du Pape and instead strive to create a younger and more modern, yet equally quality-oriented version of the Southern Rhône.
