The Wine

A beautiful and vibrant interpretation of the Viennese Gemischter Satz comes into the glass here. Blended from Müller-Thurgau, Muscat and Neuburger and as Pétillant Naturel is bottled. The nose combines delicate fruit aromas with a herbal, tea-like base. Nothing is overpowering or loud here; everything seems harmonious and in tune. Yellow apple and crisp pear paired with chamomile and fennel seed offer a promising opening. The palate then offers fine effervescence, with a present yet very soft and perfectly integrated acidity. Thoroughly dry, stimulating, and with yeast notes that provide softness and subtle fullness. The aroma remains herbal, with the fruity notes giving way to an elegant nuttiness. Wonderfully harmonious, not entirely conventional, but not too crazy either. Exactly our taste!
