The Wine

Grown on limestone and clay, aged on the fine lees in steel for approximately 9 months. A fragrant floral nose with delicate peach and ripe citrus. With a little aeration, a beautiful mineral complexity emerges. Quite charming on the palate, with a lovely melt, creamy texture, followed by yellow fruit, especially peach. Juicy and playful, incredibly delicious and drinkable, an uncomplicated, totally fresh, and clear Chardonnay with very little resistance and, as always with Eric Louis, a truly wonderful value.

The Winery

Eric Louis
Eric Louis Eric Louis represents a tradition of winemaking in the central Loire Valley. Founded four generations ago by great-grandmother Pauline, the winery today specializes in Sauvignons from the vineyards around Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, and Menetou Salon. The vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, often harvesting at night or early in the morning to ensure the characteristic freshness of the Sauvignon Blancs. The result is crisp, cool-climate wines with a wide range of flavors.
