The Wine
A completely insane nose. Cassis, red berries, fruit tea, but also classic peach and grapes. Totally fragrant and fruity, a potpourri of all these fruits, with iodine-salty hints, yet radiantly clear and brilliant. On the palate, juicy, velvety-silky, totally soft, but also totally fresh and invigorating. The entire parade of fruits from the nose continues seamlessly here, led by blackcurrant, framed by a dark, mineral spice from the slate. Wonderful interplay of sweetness and acidity, the acidity is noticeably present, but integrated and in perfect dialogue with the delicate sweetness. The wine has enormous presence and intensity, which continues into the long finish. It's still totally approachable and incredibly delicious, with plenty of air, very flattering and generous, yet at the same time very precise and polished. A lot of wine at a very high level, and a real bargain for this quality level!
