The Wine

Approximately 80% Grenache, 17% Syrah, and a very small portion of Mourvèdre make this Rasteau a dark and powerful red wine. Ruby red with purple reflections in the glass. The nose is full of black fruits: blackberries and blueberries, freshly picked and juicy. The nose is dense, vibrant with spice, along with delicate vanilla and cool earthiness. The palate is full-bodied, juicy, and powerful. A mouthful of wine and fruit. The earthy, mineral components cool the overall impression, yet this dark, almost black core always remains. A wine for lovers of opulent red wines that still tolerate a touch of freshness. A perfect accompaniment to braised dishes or a nice fillet steak fresh from the grill.

The Winery

Domaine de Beaurenard
Domaine de Beaurenard The Coulon family has been producing wine in the Rhône for seven generations. They know how to harness the power of the sun and bring out the characteristics of the local grape varieties at their finest. Their wines are bottled with a stunning freshness, which, despite all their power and extract, always ensures a balancing lightness. The vineyard is worked by hand and with horses according to biodynamic principles, and in the cellar, the wines are given the freedom they need to develop naturally.
