The Wine
Eric Louis's entry-level Sauvignon Blanc is absolutely archetypal for the Loire region. Grown on chalky soils, aged on the fine lees in steel tanks for approximately nine months. A fragrantly floral, very clear, and fresh nose with plenty of yellow fruit, delicate citrus, and a hint of exoticism, a touch of passion fruit and a hint of nettle. It continues in the mouth, juicy and fresh with yellow fruit, pronounced citrus notes, and beautifully integrated acidity. This is a wonderful treat with a slightly salty piquancy on the finish, a Loire Sauvignon par excellence!

The Winery
Eric Louis
Eric Louis represents a tradition of winemaking in the central Loire Valley. Founded four generations ago by great-grandmother Pauline, the winery today specializes in Sauvignons from the vineyards around Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, and Menetou Salon. The vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, often harvesting at night or early in the morning to ensure the characteristic freshness of the Sauvignon Blancs. The result is crisp, cool-climate wines with a wide range of flavors.
