The Wine
The vines for the Klosterberg * Pinot Blanc grow directly around the winery. A very aromatic, dense nose. Yellow stone fruit, ripe and juicy, underpinned by smoky slate, Molitor's signature; the location always shines through. A lovely herbal spice, with a touch of exotic tropical fruit mixed in. All very typical of the grape variety and terroir, yet very intense, present, and clear. Dense and creamy on the palate, very generous, juicy fruit, followed by a lovely saltiness on the wonderfully long finish. The oak aging isn't noticeable, but adds structure and creaminess. A dense, Burgundian-like Pinot Blanc, full of charm and generosity!

The Winery
Markus Molitor
The Molitor name is a long-standing fixture on the Terraced Mosel. It stands for uncompromising quality and a fantastic variety in terms of vineyards and winemaking styles. The house's Rieslings are absolutely classic Mosel and offer delicate fruit—dry or sweet—in perfect balance with smoky slate. The house's Burgundies are equally impressive, consistently convincing at all levels of quality.
