The Wine

A Cabernet Franc in the guise of a Pinot Noir – reminiscent of the juicy, graceful wines of the central Loire Valley. From 40-year-old vines growing on moraine gravel and limestone. In the glass, an intense ruby red with a dark core. Initially ethereal and spicy on the nose, then sweet and sour red fruits break through, clear and bright. Finally, we return to the world of spices with pepper, leather, and tea. The various tones appear dancing, oscillating between delicacy and intensity. On the palate, endless juice, extremely fine, polished tannins, and a fresh acidity. After the hand-harvest, a 40-day maceration follows, followed by 18 months of aging in used tonneaux. A culinary delight for all who appreciate elegance and finesse in a red wine and would like to experience a Cabernet Franc in its purest form.
