The Wine

60-year-old Chardonnay vines on Lake Neusiedl. Long maceration, 2 years of aging on the full lees in oak barrels. A very fine, balanced, and tranquil nose. Everything is calm, very unexcited and unobtrusive, yet its aromas are still very clear and tangible. Juicy tangerine and orange, with a hint of exotic fruit, underpinned by buttery pastry, shortcrust pastry, and delicate yeasty notes. On the palate, it's soft and supple with a creamy, silky texture, with substance, density, and fullness, without ever seeming greasy. The Tiglat has a very elegant flow; everything is perfectly balanced and balanced. The finish offers plenty of salt and a delicate piquancy, very mouthwatering and stimulating, with decent tannins from the long maceration, and a touch of herbal spice, all woven around the ripe, highly aromatic fruit, with plenty of punch and a long finish. It's crystal-clear, buttery smooth, highly aromatic, and intense, yet completely at peace with itself; a great, complex, exceptional Chardonnay from Lake Neusiedl with tremendous expression. It's absolutely ready to drink; large glasses are recommended, and it's good to have it aerated. With maturity, it has a fantastic future ahead of it.
