The Wine

A blend of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, Garganega, and Traminer. Aged for 10 months in used French tonneaux. 2,130 bottles were produced. A fragrant nose with white flowers, yellow stone fruit, plenty of pear, and a touch of white pepper. Very fine, slightly spicy (the Traminer pokes its head up from the back row), and complex. Very refined on the palate, with its own unique, highly individual aromas. There's plenty of yellow fruit, again the very present pear, but also a generous portion of ripe citrus, a hint of bergamot and lime. The juicy fruit is permeated by a subtle spice, a touch of caraway, and a hint of almond. A wonderful liaison of creamy, velvety texture and perfectly integrated acidity. It's soft and indulgent, yet fresh and dynamic, with a consistently aromatic finish. All grape varieties contribute their own characteristic part, the result is a balanced and yet very exciting and complex Northern Italian cuvée, unfortunately only produced in homeopathic quantities.
