The Wine
The Pinot Noir Rosé from the Seehof winery has become very dear to our hearts and has been one of our favorite rosés for years. Year after year, Florian manages to express the clear character of the grape variety, resulting in a wonderful blend of intensity and lightness. Fresh spice paired with red berries on the nose, everything very clear and intense. It continues on the palate: with a lovely bite and structure, fine acidity, the wine is very present, yet delicate and elegant, with lightness despite its density. These attributes, so typical of the grape variety, are what makes Florian's rosé so great: power and expression paired with lightness is a combination we long for in wine; this rosé delivers exactly that, and delights us with it. It has an almost nasty flow, and whatever it is with the oft-praised combination of terrace and rosé: I have one, and I absolutely love drinking it on it. It works great on its own or with a variety of summer treats, ideally one first, then the other. An uncomplicated drinking pleasure with a good deal of refinement, an outrageously good price-performance ratio, as always with Weingut Seehof, and a very low drinking resistance rating. It's a favorite wine!
