The Wine
A Rheinhessen Pinot Noir just to our taste: Florian's Pinot Noir from the Westhofener Steingrube boasts a fresh, cherry-spicy, and fragrant nose, typical of the varietal par excellence. Crisply dry on the palate, tannins coat the mouth, a decent bite, and zero grams of fat. This is wild and spicy, robust, and direct. Aged for 18 months in small, used oak barrels, bottled unfiltered. A delicacy that will gain in finesse, depth, and complexity over the coming years, if it hasn't already been consumed. This purist and hands-on style is already a real pleasure!
