Riesling Rotschiefer Gutswein 2022 (0.75l)

From the excellent vineyards of the Roter Hang, i.e., steep slopes and approximately 30-year-old vines. A very fragrant, fresh nose, plenty of ripe peach, yellow stone fruit in general, along with some red fruit, white blossoms, and a generous spice from the red slate on which it grows. A charming, expansive nose, highly aromatic. On the palate, juicy and creamy, yet fresh, the stone fruit comes through again, along with ripe, yet fresh citrus fruits. A salty piquancy intersperses the palate, and a beautifully integrated, fine acidity permeates the palate. Completely balanced and truly delicious, extremely easy to drink, yet crisp to the point, and with an intense finish. The Rotschiefer has been a firm favorite in the estate wine category for years, a hugely enjoyable wine, capable of aging well for several years, and offers outstanding value for money!
