The Wine
The great Granato, Foradori's flagship. Small yields come from 70-90 year-old pergola vines, which are aged for 18 months in large, used oak barrels. Superbly fragrant and refined. In the heart of the rose garden, with eucalyptus and mint, as well as dark spicy notes, paired with black fruit, especially cherry. The bouquet's subtlety and elegance are distinctive – everything floats and fragrant, balanced and poised. This continues seamlessly on the palate, where the wine is soft, velvety, and juicy. Buttery-smooth, polished tannins, the finest cherry fruit without end, underpinned by herbal and ethereal notes. This has a silky flow, elegance, and grandeur, not the wild madness of the Sgarzon or, in particular, the Morei, but instead simply this relaxed, balanced grandeur and finesse. Pure Northern Italian cinema, this is the pinnacle of Alpine wines!
