The Wine
The Sangiovese I Tre Borri IGT from Corzano e Paterno is the house's flagship wine. Vinified with 100% Sangiovese from the winery's finest grapes. Spontaneously fermented, aged for 24 months in used oak. A very dense, dark red fruit nose. Heavy and sweet, savory and spicy, yet also very fresh, with plenty of sour cherry, along with some ethereal, spicy, and herbal nuances. A hint of dark chocolate. Then a very soft palate, with a lovely, delicate sweetness from the extract, more sour cherry, and also plenty of sweet black cherry. This already has plenty of substance with dense fruit, lifted by a fine acidity and a zesty finish. A wonderful Sangiovese with plenty of punch and character, full of fruit, simply picture-perfect. It's still young, so it has time, but it already tastes incredibly good!
