The Wine

"Ciacole" roughly translates to "small talk"; Vin da Ciacole is intended for informal, relaxed, and convivial situations. A blend of Garganega, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc, the grapes are briefly contacted with the skins for about three hours during slow pressing. Aged for six months in stainless steel, bottled unfiltered and unfined, completely without sulfites. 2022 marks the debut of Ciacole. A truly fruity nose with yellow stone fruit and, above all, juicy, ripe pear. Underneath lies a fine, fragrant spice, a hint of vanilla, and a creamy touch. On the palate, clear fruit again, plenty of pear, yet with a buttery, velvety texture. The acidity is wonderfully integrated, and the soft and creamy mouthfeel is very distinctive; the wine is totally fresh, clear, and stimulating with a long, slightly salty finish.
On the one hand, the small-talk aspect makes sense; the Ciacole is a real fun drinker with incredibly low drinking resistance. At the same time, it develops over the days in the open bottle, becoming increasingly soft and velvety in elegance, while consistently displaying a beautiful complexity. This is a lot of wine for little money, with a very distinctive character and, in addition to being used as an aperitif and with antipasti, a serious wine with depth.
