The Wine
Heinz Velich lets his Welschriesling mature for so long that he harvests the grapes at just the perfect time to enhance the delicate aroma while preserving the acidity. This is followed by spontaneous fermentation with extensive maceration before the wine is fully fermented. Aging takes place in stainless steel tanks on the lees to further enhance the wine's quality and impart a smooth, pleasant texture.
