Jeaunaux-Robin
In the very south of the Côte de Blancs, Cyril Jeaunaux makes champagne primarily from Pinot Meunier. His wines are bursting with energy (just like him) and bring a buoyant acidity to the glass, interplaying with intense and voluminous aromas. His style is honest, straightforward, and certainly controversial. We love him and have completely fallen under the spell of these sparkling wines' unabashedly easy-drinking nature.Mehr erfahren
About Champagne Jeaunaux-Robin

The Jeaunaux-Robin winery is run by Cyril Jeaunaux, the third generation of the family. It is located in the tranquil Vallée du Petit Morin, in the very south of the Côte des Blancs, along the picturesque Petit Morin stream. The vineyards in the valley are prone to late frosts due to the cool air from the surrounding hills, but the dominant Pinot Meunier somewhat mitigates this. The subsoil here is a mix of chalk and marl, similar to a fusion of the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne. A small portion of the grapes comes from the Côte des Bar, where Cyril still cultivates one hectare of vineyards. Cyril and his wife converted to biodynamic farming in 2015.
The wines mature in used barriques, with malolactic fermentation avoided wherever possible. This results in individual Champagnes of genuine honesty, strong character, and highly recognizable character. The Prestige Fil de Brume Brut Nature , a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, is the most affable and fragrant on the palate. The single-varietal Chardonnay Les Marnes Blanches V18 Brut Nature, however, blankets the palate with a real storm of tautness and focus. The nose is bursting with citrus aromas and chalk. Finally, the Instinct Meunier Brut Nature is a single-varietal Pinot Meunier and a very special representative: expansive and savory on the nose, then delicate yet explosive on the palate – we love it! Cyril Jeaunaux cooks up a unique style in his small village and is a real discovery even for long-time Champagne connoisseurs!
